Please include the NPC-exclusive voices as selectable Player Character voice options

This applies to every Player Character race’s NPC counterpart, but for the sake of specificity, I will mainly be focusing on the Female Miqo’te NPC voice set.

From V’kebbe to Leih Aliapoh from the ROG and ARC class quests respectively to more recent additions such as Lalah Jinjahl and a familiar face and one of my favourite kitties, J’moldva in The Drowned City of Skalla dungeon as a Duty Support NPC, as well as every other Miqo’te NPC, when I first heard a Miqo’te NPC emit such an adorable battlecry, I completely fell in love with her voice and wanted nothing more than for my Miqo’te to have the same voice as well.

Since Player Characters are technically not voiced, just as every non-voiced NPC are, we should be able to access the NPC-unique voice set as a selectable PC voice option. As someone who greatly appreciates when a game allows their player’s creatable characters to and absolutely will share voices with enemy mobs we’ll eventually encounter, imagine my profound disappointment upon discovering that the Miqo’te NPC-exclusive voice, despite the fact her voice is purposefully unassociated with any specific character, her unique voice set is inaccessible for Warrior of Light Miqo’tes, a denial I still refuse to stomach to this very day.

As much as I love Tanaka Rie-san, I sincerely hope that the inclusion of the NPC-exclusive voice set as a potential Voice Option 13 when creating Miqo’te characters, as well as for each race’s NPC counterpart is not something too difficult to implement, as at the moment, the fact that FF14 does not allow PC’s to be able to utilize their NPC counterpart’s unique voice set is my single largest complaint about what is otherwise, the best MMORPG I have ever played.



I refuse to have such a beautiful voice squandered, and as such, I’ll give my utmost effort to make sure the Miqo’te NPC’s voice gains recognition and becomes WoL-worthy! Please, for the love of the Twelve, Yoshi-P and Square Enix, have her voice be accessible as Voice option 13 for Miqo'te WoL’s!

No, because I refuse to believe Square Enix would be that cruel to deny us the option. It's not like they're Y'shtola, I can understand not being able to share her voice, but a voice that quite literally has no story relevance like all the other voice options available though? That doesn't sit right with me at all.

I imagine the real reason those aren't included is because they don't really have any voices other than the battle voices, meaning that theyd need to record a bunch of the various 'emote' voices just for these voices to make those available.

Yeah, I thought so as well, but I mean, it shouldn't be that hard to get them emote voices, or at least, I'm desperately hoping it isn't. Honestly, I don't care how the emote voices turn out, they can even reuse them from other voices for all I care, as long as we can access the battle voices at the end of the day.

Even if they add the voices, there would still be missing voices for emotes, and you'd complain you'd have to buy a Fantasia to use the voices.

Pshh, please. As a complete shrimp for the voice, having no emote voice doesn't bother me at all, and as someone who's downed enough Fantasias to the point it's replaced the water content in my blood, drinking another one was something I was inevitably going to do anyway lmao.
