yo, this is getting wild. the job isnt even a week old and already people cannot handle it.

1 thread says its not neon enough, another says its too neon.
1 thread says the gear is too cartoony, 1 says its not cartoony enough
sevral people said theyre going to unsub just because of it
sevral said theyde kick pictomancers from there pf
sevral said picto was out of place in ff ( i guess they forgot about spriggan bombs, chocomog and cactuars)
sevral people said its a GIRLS and LGBT only job (this is the most laughable 1 so far)

and yea, btw i can cite all the times ive seen this if you wanna see it.. but what the actual hell people.. this job isnt even out yet and already people are going feral over it

as a lgbtq/girl/irl pictomancer.. i cant wait for this job!

i vaguely recall folks complaining about 'race erasure' when the character went into its 'enshroud mode'.

i think folks will hate on picto more because of its 'childish' aesthetic, i guess.

To be fair, I don't think I've seen such complaints before. Gunbreaker was welcomed as far as I know.
Dancer was less appreciated as people had many expectations about a new healer.

Reaper and Sage were also welcomed and I don't remember anyone voicing concern about the jobs style and personality.

I believe the concerns are voiced by two majors groups.
You have people hating on Pictomancer because it's not the Green mage they wanted.
You have people who waited on a new caster but the job doesn't fit their tastes.

I don't like Pictomancer but I'm happy for SQEX to make choice that won't try to please everyone.

but what if ffxiv was to repurpose an underutilized ff job and disguise it as there new class in an attempt to make the older fans feel legitimized

There’s also the third group, which really loves Pictomancer and wants to play it, but were disappointed by the initial gameplay video and just want it to be as good as it can be.
