HOWEVER I think the only thing that me and some others are concerned about is the saturation of specifically darker skin tones in the game once the graphical update has happened.

The darker skin tones post-update are how they are because players asked for their darker skinned characters to actually be visible in low light environments like Ultima Thule. If they dial it back the darker skinned characters will be invisible again.
