I'm not trying to say XI is a bad game. But a lot of people talk up the community as always helpful and everyone who needs anything has people jumping to help, and that was not my experience. The game is touted as one that relies on a community to make any progression, but the downside to this is of you aren't on the in with that community, you have the experience I did.
I agree with some of your points here, except the one of growth. Clearly it grew enough to be so damn profitable XIV couldn't take the crown until 2021.
