Considering how they keep dumbing down the combat I doubt it'll have poison dots.
Remember how much buffs we had in 2.0 and 3.0? They started to remove since Stormblood.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

honestly i like viper better than pictomancer.
but i hate *mancer* jobs n classes, like throw it at the end of what they do and it magically makes it an acceptable naming convention?
course i guess overall it can't be worse than just throwing words in front of other jobs, black mage white mage blue mage or holy knight rune knight ect.
i like the more unique names that implies things about them but isn't straight up a title with some word added to it.

It's just a Thief Class. It's modeled after Zidane Tribal. Would have preferred Rune Fencer or Mystic Knight over Viper. Viper makes me think of a Venomous Snake.

I don't think Viper is cringe name.
Hot take, I don't like either of them. But Viper looks interesting. Pictomancer looks dumb. But who knows?
Should have called it Monkey since the weapon seems to be based of Zidane who had paired knives/daggers/shortswords along with what FF9 called "theif swords" which were the same weapon created when the 2 swords are combined.
When they say "people will complain about absolutely anything", this forum is a living proof of that, and this thread is an example lol.

Hrm hrm... "Dragoon"
If Dragoon isn't cringe, Viper isn't either.

These forums really will criticize everything won't they?
