And that's exactly what I want. I want them to iterate on Green Mage and do something unique with it to flesh out its identity in the series.Even if Green Mage did get added, it would almost certainly have no resemblance to the singular example of Green Mage from TA:2. Debuffs are largely non-existent in XIV. Dancer, a job that is most strongly associated with debuffs, was given 0 debuff application out of the entirely useless Phys Ranged Role Actions (minus the very occasional Head Graze for interruption). DOTs have only ever been culled and have literally never been built upon even for the Summoner that once was a DOT DPS. It's far more likely that Green Mage would be something entirely new. Seems a lot more likely that it would've been something like the Dancer of casters--low personal DPS, but prominent use of buffs to compensate.
no and no
We already have a gun job(we can argue getting a "techy job") and caster don't need a lv50 whm with a dps rotation as a new job.
While I didn't especially want pictomancer, at least this one feels/look different.
Tbf MCH is the techy job. A good portion of skills are kinda just not gun focused. A pure gunslinger like dual pistols would be fun but even then there's other choices for a ranged dps like a class focused around throwing weapons like potion-based grenades or traps. That'd be fun.

I've always like the idea of a "chemist" phys ranged with launched weaponry.
But MCH is far from Techy, the most techy it gets, is its LB3.(and the queen. The rest is just Aether Light/Lit Drones, and Heated Weapons of war.)
[The techy-est of them all is SGE TBH, and that's just on the nouliths.]
