I don't know if making a separate thread instead of adding to a big one is going to help the devs see our feedback, but I really want them to get the beastial faces for the fem hroth right.
I understand that they were never going to look as beastly as male hrothgar, but I do think the muzzles could be improved on, because as of now they look incredibly uncanny. They look more like a human woman wearing latex makeup, so the issue here is that the upper lips are too small, and the mouth opening is also too small to resemble an actual feline's mouth. I don't think making the muzzles longer is a solution here, thinking realistically, but rather making anatomical tweaks around the upper lips and the mouth corners could work as a solution. So for starters, pulling the corners of the mouth into the face so that they align with the eyes in a profile view and making the upper lips fuller and rounder is the way to go in my opinion.
Thinking from the perspective that would give the devs as little trouble as possible, I really think making the mouth look less human would be perfect to achieve that animal look for the mouth while keeping the elegance of the design. If lions are too exaggeratedly "masculine" to use as a reference, at least use housecats as reference so their animal faces stop looking so uncanny.
The mouth corners are important to make this design work!
Comparing to a male hrothgar which doesn't have this problem, they look almost like they're from different species, but I think I made my point!
EDIT: To reiterate, this feedback is mostly aimed at the brown hrothgar from the trailer, as she has the most uncanny face out of all of them. It's a shame their faces can't look AS beastly as male hrothgars, but I'm still happy beyond measure to have beastial faces at all. At the end of the day I'm incredibly happy with the work SE has done up until now, and I look forward to fanta into them when 7.0 comes!
Also I really wish we get actual fang options for them, but I don't know if that's in the dev's plans. Either way, Thank you for listening!
