Burmecian Race/The Race of Freya

Thread, lets get the Burmecian, the race of freya's species from ff9 into xiv. I had a hard time thinking of what else to really had and so I had to think on other races seen in other ff games and I am now championing the Burmecian.

Rat boys and rat girls lets get it going brothers and sisters the ratpack can not be denied!

We already have a humanoid rat-like race in the game (and they're from another FF game to boot!) - FFXI's qiqirn.

Alas, they're considered beastmen (and some are downright barbaric, who eat hyur), so I doubt very much we'll see anything like that as a playable race in the game.

They'd look different enough though, I mean cause we got hrothgar and cat people coexisting since the differences are enough (to me anyways some may think they look to samey both being cat people)

Hrothgar already kinda push the beastmen argument to the breaking point, though.

The same argument could be made about Miqo'te and Hrothgar as two different feline type races.

Personally, I would love to see burmecians as a playable race. I imagine the devs would do some simplifications modeling them; after all, technically, Viera are supposed to be digitigrade, but they still use all the same boot models as everyone else. They wouldn't be short either - Freya was 6'1". That said, if we *ever* get another playable race, I would be surprised if it comes before 9.0.

Same, as long as they made the face exactly as they appear I'd understand hats or helms being a thing they wouldn't get tons of support on.

Though I would enjoy them, the problem would not just be hats. They are so different there would be zero commonality for any piece of gear.
