The whole personality customization from ESO really opened my eyes to what could be customized with our characters since I never thought about having unique idle animations and expressions.

Yes, I would love to be able to have this be a feature in FFXIV

I love this idea. PSO2 sort if has this where you can choose different idle animations, running animations, etc. It definitely adds to making your character your own and I would also love to see this in FFXIV.

But, I don't see this happening ever. I've been playing for a long time now. One of the things we've been asking for for years is the ability to glam other job gear outside of AF stuff. For years Yoshi has come up with excuse after excuse as to why we could never do it. Things like, "people wouldn't be able to tell which job is which" or "we would like to keep job identity unique."

If their stance on race identity is anything like it is for glam, this is just wishful thinking unfortunately. Even though, I and many others think this is a great idea. Yoshi and his team are stubborn af.

cool concept to think about for sure, but personally i would be happy if they would just start with restrictions on /cpose for diffrent genders and races.. still holding out for the sword in ground drk pose girls get, and they should be able to have the off shoulder pose too for instance...

but more on point i want a drunken stance where my characters idle is wobbly and off kilter and constantly swaying, maybe has hiccups, and the little bubbles particle effecting off the head

Honestly, I wish they would at least come up with more options than "Okay." or "Okay, but with something that sort of resembles snark.". If the dialogue choices and the NPCs reactions were directed with the type of personality you pick I would be pleasantly surprised.

Have some unlock via jobquests. Like completing the initial DRK quest line provides responses and mannerisms related to Fray.

I would love this. I really like the vibe of the poses Miqo'te has (casual) and find that Au Ra are too elegant.

While it's cool all the races are unique, I would like to think my character has the same "soul" despite using Fantasias here and there you know?
