[Request] Please Fix A Miqo'te Hairstyle

Hopefully this is the right forum for this! I've been looking forward to the graphics update since it was announced, and I've mostly been satisfied with the things I've seen today from the Keynote. However, there is one thing that has been bothering me, which unfortunately still showed in the exact hairstyle that was chosen for the keynote. I'd been hoping it would be addressed in the first pass, and then the second, but it's still the same, and I'd like to directly request it is looked at going forward.

Specifically, it's this hair, a default character creator one used in a lot of promotional material. NPCs use it frequently it, the graphical update preview had it on display, and it's been a hairstyle choice since base ARR.



In the above image of the most recent preview, you can still see the wall behind this character straight through her hair. It's visible in the before and after in the same spot. I'd know after looking at that exact problem for 8 years. It might seem minor from that angle, or desirable, or intentional, but with the angle slightly lowered or turned, it looks like this.


This is very distracting in any cutscene that has a view of my character from below the chin at all, or from the side and so I'd like to at least draw a bit of attention to it, while things are already getting checked!

The Cloud haircut has a similar issue on the left side of the face.

It's a bit difficult to notice but you will see it if you put yourself in front of something like a wall of fire and zoom on the head. I'll try taking a picture tomorrow in the Ifrit trial.

Took a bit of zooming in, but I do see the blank space between the hair and the head. Never noticed that before. +1 hope it gets fixed.

Another hairstyle in dire need of attention is this one for male Miqo'te:





Basically, the entire hairstyle floats a fair way off the head. It's most often noticable around the hanging braids at the front, but at particular angles you can see daylight under the entire central braid.

I assume it was necessary to have the model floating a bit so the fairly tight hairstyle could line up with the Miqo'te ears, and I wouldn't particularly want it to be solved by moving the main part of the hairstyle closer to the head because it's already quite small relative to circlets and things, but I wonder if an extra piece could be added to at least block the light from being seen underneath, and the small braids adjusted a little so they connect to the head.

Edit to add: I have since checked this on a female Elezen alt and it has the same issues there. Have not looked at Highlander/Roegadyn models.

I took a picture of the problem. You can see it on the left side of the face (right side looking at the image): the flames show that there's a space between the skull and that part of the hair. In the second picture it's more obvious how that specific patch of hair "floats" in the air weirdly.

And this third picture exemplifies how the problem gets hidden when the angle changes a bit.



At this point I think they should go through every single haircut to fix problems like these.
