Absolutely no more new races please

I am not against adding new races, but I want to see them working on new races after they fix the hairstyle/headgear/customization situation with Hrothgar and Viera.

tbh i feel like we need ff9's drone (zidane race) as a non gender and maybe moogles/goblins or something to be just as short as lalafell that won't be seen as "children"

I agree we need genomes as a race. We need a medium/short race like female au ra for males.

No, male miqos are still alot taller than female au ra and their shoulders are so broad. We need males with the same slim/slender body's.

My thoughts exactly. Heck, they're even cutting corners with Miqos now.

I really wouldn't trust Square with any tailed/animal eared race.

I'm not opposed to new races but if we get them, I would prefer if they weren't just humans with weird ears and/or tails again.

That being said, the demand for more races could largely be alleviated if they just expanded the character creator a bit. Let Hyurs have pointy Elezen ears so they can RP being half-Elezen like Hilda. Give us an option that gives us the Garlean eye. Let people have Padjal horns, etc.

no more races, but definitely more racial options/customization.
like why dont aura get yugiri's hair & horn color?
or elezen/hyur get hilda's hair etc etc
im done with new races bc they seem to limit them at launch rather than unleash a full package.

but we do have 0% cat 25% cat and 75% cat now so probably should just complete the cycle and have 100% cat and ironically make it so it can only display headgear

Sorry that you're having to read yet another thread about it. Someone has to say it though. The community needs to show restraint if Yoshi P is going to just hand them the reins here.

Viera and Hrothgar still can't wear the vast majority of hats, and every new race that gets added is going to add more for SE to keep up with.

I'm happy they're giving us female hroths, rounding out the races we have, but it's completely impractical to keep expanding the list of playable races eternally. It will come at a cost to every existing race as quality eventually starts to drop. Let's be happy and appreciate the races that we have currently.

We need community pushback against this. New races are like new jobs. They'd be a huge announcement for a new expansion, and someone at SE is aware of this. Even after Dawntrail they are likely going to look for community support for new races because these races are marketable regardless of the workload they might create for the devs. Please be reasonable and deny them that support for it, let them focus on other content and additions.

I'd prefer them to have complete race/head pieces than any more races too, same with hair, 8.0 should see to it that all hats are compatable and if they're going to do any racial changes, allow race face's to wear the racial hair/horns, i don't see why a face 1 aura can't wear face 4 horns, it's beyond ridiculous.
