Sounds more like your problem lies with you. You are probably burned out on FFXIV and need a long break from it.
Gameplay got gutted for tanks, and obliterated for healers, that's what changed the most. In a utopic world in which they can actually make meaningful changes on that side, then Dawntrail might be good. The new ultimate looks very promising.
