The only issue i had with the current state of the pets is when I pressed the button to cast Whispering Dawn, then I weaved in Dissipation. I saw the animation played, ability went on cooldown but the effect did not register. Though I got the 3 aetherflow stacks and increased healing on spells.

This typically happened during long pulls in dungeons...not sure if it's improved by now.

Ahh okay, I never engage enemies mid pull...I think it's bad etiquette and as SMN it's far better to wait until all mobs are properly grouped up to maximize damage.

I used to love the Summoner, now, not so much. It's sad to see.

First, don't be smarmy, you know darn well reaper isn't a pet.

Second, I was there at the dawn of pet classes in MMOs. I know jank, and XIVs were not that. They worked fine, minor issues aside. They just threw the baby out with the bathwater.

Finally, do NOT tell other people what they do or do not want. It's asinine. I loved my summoner and I very much want it back regardless of what people like you have to say.

smn is my main caster and i like its aesthetic more now than before, it feels like a classic ff summoner and not a wow warlock/beastmaster.

I hope Beastmaster is their way to finally get to fine tune the pet system in ffxiv... assuming it will be the same like it did in FFXI.
