Some people are weirded out by your typical catboy/catgirl design not having ears where humans got them, some people are weirded out by more bestial designs like the Hrothgar, some people are super distracted by the Elezen's long necks. Others are not. And by the same token some people may find the nose discolouration weird or distracting. Nothing really to argue about, it's just how people feel about it subconsciously. Which again is why the nose discolouration should be an optional toggle, with the default being switched on so that characters after the update look as close to what they looked to prior as possible.

And everyone who enjoys a less bunnny-like nose can then use their free fantasia to turn it off.
Yea, I'm down for it being optional, but the concern is they showed a side-by-side to show graphical updates and therefore chose analogous faces if not the same options. Which indicates a change, not a new option (unless stated or as many have said, it was un-intentional)
