[Graphical Update] Viera Nose

Adding another comment to this thread, to mention that in the general discussion of the japanese forum, there is a thread concerning feedback on the graphical update. There, I found a post by user kousakamegumi, who is in the same opinion as us, saying that they too like the bunny like Y patter of our vieras, and hopes since people might like both types, they make it toggleable at least. So give them a thumbs up if you can.

I doubt, that SQEX employees read the forums. If you want a change then start complaints on Twitter or Reddit.

I’m really scared they’re going to ruin the character fidelity and take away our bunny noses, if JP likes it.

The team does translate posts from English forums for Japanese team periodically, but they asked to make sure that people stick to posting in the same big thread over time for the related issue instead of spamming an uncountable amount of new ones, which is what usually happens on EN forum (I think it was Koji who mentioned it, although I can't for the life of me remember at what event it happened).

This way it's easier to get their attention, since an active thread with a lot of comments is more likely to catch their interest than 50 threads with two 2 replies that get drowned out by other threads in two-three days. That's more or less how we got attention on male Viera and female Hrothgar initially, at least - because a couple of threads dedicated to them stayed very active for a prolonged period of time and accumulated a big amount of feedback in one place that was easy to track.

Common running theory on here is no, we haven't had a non introduction post from a community rep/GM in years, last one was the in from the cold nerf announcement.
Community reps are few and far between, main team devs are JP only speakers and can't speak english, so they are only going to look at 2ch, japanese twitter, and the jp forums. We have quite a few long running threads here about features or issues that have gone unnoticed and unrecognized.

So the answer is no, it's good people are coming here to support this, but posting on the EN forums hoping devs see the feedback is useless in the grand scheme of things, the amount of work it takes to get any feedback from the EN players to JP devs means basically none of our stuff gets through and we have to rely on JP players wanting the same thing.

I will be heartbroken if the bunny nose is removed. My bunboy won't look the same without his cute little bhunny nose! The way it looks like there's actually that lil bit of bunny velvet on it, the way it's so different from the others is what people who have viera love about it. It's like with the au ra and the limbal rings; don't take away our unique features.

Edited: Ok posted there saying that a majority of english speaking fans agree! Also linked this thread saying "There is even a large discussion about the new noses on English forums" Hopefully that helps some of the momentum here carry between the language barrier somewhat

Like almost everyone here, I beg you to not change the Viera noses !
This is one of the features I like the most on my bunny girl.

I can understand people not wanting too much change on their character. I hated the way my 1.0 character ported across and I was gutted they took away her voice.

I wish I could have them back but alas that will never happen.


I do not like the Viera noses as they are and think they look better but I do not play as one so it does not affect me. I hope they keep them as they are and I am sure they will listen to the feedback and it will be fine.
