Long ago, during the Shadowbringer's fan fest series, YoshiP made mention of a possible lizardman race but backed away from it because Hrothgar was supposed to be the last. Now with YoshiP saying it's up to us now, I'd like to ask for a true lizardman race. Please get this implemented. There's a great opportunity now with Dawntrail upcoming.

If they're going to continue development of character creation and race options, something I'd like to see explored more would be new categories of existing races that have more distinct qualities, but still utilize the same model and animations. For example, adding in the option to be half-Elezen like Hilda and other possible mixed race options. I've always been interested in the concept of the Padjal, and while the ones we're familiar with in Gridania are kind of lore-locked, it could be possible to introduce an alternative community from a different location that have more flexibility in the lore to have our WoL's freedoms--basically people with horns and antlers.

I mentioned this in another thread somewhere, but I had been casually jogging down ideas for a 'what if I made a Final Fantasy MMO' concept for no real reason other than for my own enjoyment. One of the races I'd go with to represent the "small and cute(ish)" archetype was going to be based on the elves from Radiata Stories called "Pixx."

Basically, they'd be not as short as Lalafell or Tarutaru, but maybe around 3-4 feet tall or so, and would have a bit of a cyberpunk element to them. The reason for that was I imagined this theoretical Final Fantasy MMO would have different worlds based on the different elemental crystals, and each world would represent some of the different styles of Final Fantasy worlds we've seen, with the world of the Wind Crystal being inspired by FFXIII's future chic aesthetic, and Pixx would be most populated in this world.

Not opposed to this at all but I would rather they focus on giving us way more character customization options. There's been plenty of feedback on the matter in different threads so hopefully they take it into account.

Hrothgar and Viera were supposed to be gender locked races, one male and one female, based on other FF races that for one had mostly male representant, and for the other, zero male of that race appearing. It made sense. Like how Roegadyn and Miqo'te were gender locked in 1.0. They added their other sex counterpart in 2.0 because of player outcry. Kinda ironic how 5 years later they did the same thing with the same results.
