I've seen some people suggest it might be chocobo v2, with a similar progression window, and the creature you pull out is purely cosmetic player choice. Going with the affinity chart similarly to how BLU spells carry an element(in the Carnivale, anyway) would be a neat idea as well, though I'd hope they could apply it to all content. Now that I think about it, it'd be amusing if you could actually use your trained chocobo as your familiar, with various buffs applied.

I hope you can have both, I want to tame a wild chocobo in the dravanian forelands as BST and also have my chocobo out.
