Wasn't my cup of team so I skipped it. Also, I apologize for the misunderstanding.I was referring more to their design choice when they started to move Relm outside of her 2D design and into 3D design era. I don't know if you played Opera Omnia but they had her character a bit more high spirited animation wise when performing her attacks. She still did her things in her 2D design era but more animated to emphasis her spirit when it comes to painting attacks. The only thing missing with the animation attacks is a clean Canvas infront of the Pictomancer but it seems they are focusing on the ideal their magic works by painting whatever they make in the air.

Love the idea but those effects are straight out of a different game.

the animations are too flouncy for my tastes personally, watching the trailer made it pretty apparent that this job aesthetically was made for Krile first and player characters second lmao. so long as it actually casts and isn't a phys ranged wearing a mage's skin then it's fine by me.

I did not want Pictomancer and the trailer solidifies all of my worries about it. It's really childish and out of place.
I love the battle effects!

Honestly, it's not my thing.
I was super excited about the upcoming caster, but when I saw it, both in terms of design and the spells' appearance with that awful cell shading, it looks like they only use the colors palette from Fall Guys event textures,
it seems a bit out of place.
I know what I'm saying may sound bitter, and some people will love it; it's all a matter of taste.
But honestly, I'm extremely disappointed with the overall appearance of the job from what we've seen.
I absolutely love the concept of this job and the aesthetics of the AF set and the fact that it looks completely distinct from the edgy (no pun intended) Viper.
However... I'll be real, some of those paint splatter effects shown in the trailer do look cheap as heck. Reminded me of Windows 95's WordArt. Maybe in practice it won't be that bad...
Anything thats not named "X Mage" is a good thing in my eyes.
