I recently started playing again, and noticed that compared to the other races Miqo'te aren't really fleshed out much beyond the U tribe and Brotherhood of Ash quest chains.
Elezen has an expansion, lalafel has a whole city-state, Highlanders have an expansion, the Au'ra have a lot of lore, Roegadyn have a city-state, even Viera got a bit of lore.. so I'd kind of like to see some roleplay enabling lore and gear for traditional miqo'te, something which was fairly abundant in Final Fantasy XI
parts of this sort of gear were pretty popular for mithra npc's that were meant to be from their homeland for example, I'm hoping that in Dawntrail we get a new traditionalist sort of miqo'te tribe that live outside the new city/hub and that they look the part and have their traditions explored in quests atleast
Things like hunting efficiently, being connected to the land and the balance between hunters and prey were important to mithra in XI, the entire unlock quest for Ranger was built off of that.
So essentially, have a tribe that keeps to traditions, like in hunting and then bringing home their kills and using every part of their kill, for food and shelter and for clothing, things pelt based clothing and leather with bone and feather ornamentation, actual loin cloth-esque gear, etc..
It could be leather crafter glamor, and carpenter could have decorations like totem poles and wall hanging wooden masks like this one
I lean in a very princess mononoke direction with my seeker XD which is why I based my own on Loonh Gah and the U tribe miqo'te..
I'd like to see things that set them apart from their "civilized" counterparts, which is something that sort of bothered me about the coeurlclaw poachers in the base game who are supposed to be ultra-traditiomal keepers of the moon who pretty much spit in the face of the Gridanian's trying to tell them not to, while they still dress like everyone else.
I can't help but imagine if they were walking around in antelope pelts and horns from their kills and bigger tribal masks that they cut from the trees.. thus giving a lot of ammunition for why Gridania doesn't like them.
it would have made them immediately stand out as being vastly different from miqo'te that they look down on like Leih Aliapoh who conforms to Gridanian laws and fits in with everyone else.
This sort of thing is also why I loved the skyhunter gear in heavensward and that entire storyline, even though it wasn't specifically based around miqo'te (though your companion is one) it was very much in line with my character.
Just some hopes for miqo'te representation going forward into a more (seemingly) untamed land based around hunting down big game and having mass bbq's afterwards like the trailer lol..
