Does DXVK positively impact the game's performance? If so, in what way? If it does not, why bother?
my CPU is lower than the minimum required, so I'll check the benchmark, but I'm expecting to have to get DT on PS5 instead. Fair enough, I haven't really upgraded my PC in over a decade. Will be weird playing on console though.

Wouldn't you have to get a whole new account if you are switching from PC to console?

No, you just need buy a console license ( key ) you can check it by going to mog station > service account status > Platform. then you can play on whatever you want ( not at the same time ofc )

I've got a GTX 1660 Super so I should be alright, just probably won't be able to play with everything maxed out

It's very setup specific. If the system is bad at DX11 due to CPU, driver overhead then DXVK can help. FFXIV isn't using old DX11 so the uplift shows up only for some systems.

And added some quick Dawntrail CPU/GPU/iGPU comparisons: https://rkblog.dev/posts/ffxiv/dawnt...rk-comparison/
