XIV needs more armored basic 'short' tops like ARR please

Leaving it a bit late to suggest/request, but better late than never.

I think it's fair to say XIV now has enough robes and otherwise shampoo-bottle shaped tops across all jobs/classes to last a lifetime- and not only do the newer ones have designs and embellishments that restrict what other pieces you can match them with- they also block/hide necklaces 95% of the time.

I hope that in Dawntrail we'll see a major comeback for more basic gladiator-style armored tops in a bunch of different styles (and available for magic classes aswell as war, dyeable of course). I can imagine they would fit the theme of the expansion too. ARR stuff like the Raptorskin Harness, Iron Scale Mail and Coliseum Galerus are great and some new creative varieties on this type of armor would be appreciated.

Obviously the Ravel Keeper and Pag gear are already getting a remix in Dawntrail but those pieces are of limited use really and not the same kind of thing as above. I am hoping their Dawntrail variants will be without the tribal paint though.

Most of the gear options save for most Tanking and Maiming definitely leans more feminine don't they? I'd like to see more armored tops on other jobs. I like the darklight armor for MNK, SAM, NIN (hope VIP gets to use it) as it's the only piece that looks armor esque. Also want to see more trenchcoats, armor with cloaks (we're getting Clive's outfit soon) and light jackets. The recent crafting gear for Tank/Maiming/Ranged DPS I like, hope they extend that to the other jobs in a dungeon or something.

Also there are too many armor tops that have full blown dress skirts for the bottom. The PVP sets come to mind. While they look neat, they seem to go ham on the lower part where you can barely see the legs of your character.

It really should be a toggle like visors for headgear. And don't even bother telling me it's "impossible" or impractical from development resources standpoint. Modders have been removing awful coattails from maiming gear for years and for free.

You'd think the 3D modellers would agree too - It must annoy them to spend so much time making these intricate belt-layers (especially in ShB-endgame) that just get overridden by 99% of the body gear.
