    The platform I play on is Windows.

    I only have one character so im not sure if it happens on others.

    It occurs as soon as i click play.

    It happens everytime i click play while trying to launch on Directx11

    the exact error is this; "The latest version of DirectX is required to play FFXIV. Please download and install the DirectX End-User Runtime, then restart the game.----(0)

    I run only ffxiv

    the pc isnt over heating

    pc was not updated

    It happens in both modes

    e tried updating my windows ive tried updating my drivers ive updated everything i could update. Ive looked through numerous forum posts but I couldnt come up with anything conclusive. Ive tried restoring the game files.

    Its a windows update issue. Uninstall KB5034275. I had this issue and this windows update being uninstalled fixed it.

    Ive done some searching and cant seem to find that file. Im new to computers so im not sure whether im looking in the right place or not. Ive gone into my windows file and searched for it specifically and couldnt fine it. Any tips on what i should do?

    Step 1 - go to windows update
    Step 2 - click view update history
    Step 3 - click uninstall updates
    Step 4 - uninstall that update
    Step 5 - when it tells you to restart, do so
    Step 6 - Enjoy FFXIV and hope that they fix this problem
