Looking for clarification on housing issue.

I'm trying to put in a bid on an FC house with my main. The leader of said FC has been wanting the FC in Ishgard since before Shiro was made. But every time that I try to put a bid in on the target house, the game tells me this, "Lottery entry and plot purchase unavailable. No more land may be purchased on this world by characters attached to this service account."

Here's the thing...
Main: One trying to put a bid to relocate FC house. Officer in FC. Has personal Small.
Alt1: No house. FC has small. Officer. Has not bid on new location.
Alt2: No house. Not an officer. FC has not placed bid on new house.

Unless I'm missing something, I SHOULD be able to place a bid on my main to relocate the FC house. Is my Small preventing me from doing that?

You're either trying to bid in a personal-only ward or you were the winning bidder for another FC house that your character is still in.

It sounds like your alt with the FC house is preventing you from bidding. If your alt leaves that FC, you should be able to bid on an FC house with your main for relocation.

Ownership of Free Company Plots

Each free company may only maintain one estate plot at a time. (The free company cannot purchase additional plots, but moving to a different plot is possible.)

• If one character on a service account purchases and maintains a free company plot, no other characters on the same World associated with that service account will be able to purchase one.
• If the character leaves the free company that maintains this plot, characters on the account will be able to purchase a new plot.
• These conditions only apply to purchases made after the release of patch 4.2. Any land purchased before patch 4.2 will be unaffected, and no land or estates will be lost as a result of these changes.

Alt1 or alt2 bought a house for the fc they are in. That alt is permanently flagged as the owner of the house. You can remove the alt from the fc and bid with another character while the alt remains out of the fc. When the alt rejoins, the restriction is back.

The only ways to bid on an fc plot:
1) Use the owner character to relocate the fc house. Can only do if you currently have no other owner characters in their fcs.
2) Remove all owner characters from their fcs and bid with a character who is not an owner of the fc house they have access to.

Also make sure that the character you're trying to get an FC house on has the correct permissions in order to do so.

Slight issue with all of the things said, except that last one. I checked when I initially couldn't, but my main does in fact have the permissions to do so. As for the other alts, none of them are the leaders of their respective FCs, and none of them bought or even put money in to buy the houses.

So you have never bought any fc house on that server at all? Not even before any relocations?

Never. I HAVE put in bids that lost in the past, but that was with my main and current FC. And then suddenly I lost the ability to. At the time I figured it's because the leader of an alt's FC had put in a bid for the same plot. Which they lost.
