Singular paralysis hardly ever feels worth an Esuna because it doesn't usually last long enough to prevent more than one action anyway, given its RNG. It's also disproportionately more detrimental to casters than anyone else, so depending on the party composition it's possible nobody loses any GCDs even if the paralysis triggers.

Echo drops are a good idea for anyone with Spells to carry even outside of deep dungeons, as Silence could last long enough to block as many as three GCDs.

I always have a stack of 500 each of them at all times. Sure it's rare that you use them but I like being able to get back to what I'm doing. It's mainly lvl50 content that debuffs you but if I am a caster I 100% don't want to deal with the 10s silence in Sycus or as a Melee ever deal with Paralysis. Gold Needles can cure others of petrify which helps with the 20s petrify in LotA.

Whilst these are rare things for the sake of a few inventory slots I'd rather just have them.

Hi-Potions and Max Potions are great for low level content especially when dealing with newer players who struggle healing. They can also be used when Tanking to grab add spawns without moving the boss. Like a budget Equilibrium. It's my main use for them. I highly recommend these, especially the Hi-Potions. It's a free cure 1 in low level with a measly 22s cooldown.

Finally Hyper-Potions are just a 67s heal for around 10-25% of your hp. When not using damage pots I'd run these.
wait, I forgot golden needles were in the game! I'll have to go craft some next time I am in the game. Thank you for reminding me they exist!

Honestly, I like carrying them around because it is fun feeling slightly-more self sufficient. I know antidotes don't quite as much use anymore, but they can be good in case the healer dies. Though, I do wish they worked on stacking poison (I found out it does nothing when stacking poison is at play despite the fact it can be esuna'd)

I thank Hydaelyn for them in Unreal when someone misses a tower. Paralyze there can cause you to end up in the middle of the goo or be unable to place the stack marker in the right spot and wipe the party. They're more limited than echo drops but I feel their worth the places where I do use them.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
