Please remove health bars when people die

In pre-Endwalker PvP, when someone died, their health bar disappeared and their name/class just greyed out. For whatever reason, now when someone dies, their health bar stays visible and turns black, often covering the health bars of the people who are still alive. This dead person's health bar takes click priority over the alive people behind them, which makes it significantly more difficult to target anyone standing directly behind a dead person. I can't imagine it'd be too many changed lines of code to make someone's health bar disappear when they die, especially considering that's how it's been in the past, and all the change would do is improve user experience.

Easy change, highly impactful, cleans up an already overwhelming level of screen clutter, and no downside. Yes.

    Hate it in PvE too.

Then you have mobs where the model itself is obstructing the view on the HP bar, like the twigs of the trees here are hiding it.

The HP bar prioritizes those who are simply taller. If you are lalafell, your HP bar will always be under other HP bars. If you are taller, it will make yours overwrite others. Size actually matters. A very weird way of coding it.

You can already do this in the game options. I have it turned off because I didn't like it either.

And if you refuse to toggle it off, there are hotkeys like cycling through targets or target nearest.

I assume it would be something to do with how they attach the nametags to characters?

I don't know how it works exactly, but I assume it would be something like an anchor point in 3D space over the character model, and then the 2D names get pinned to that 3D location, closest ones on top?

And if that's the case then by simple nature of physics, if a tall person's head is visually lined up with a short person's head in your field of view and they're both standing on the same flat surface viewed from above ground, then the taller person must be closer.

If there's a way to turn off those dead people health bars in PvP, then I've managed to go an entire expansion without finding it. Would you mind sharing the setting to change?

Also after looking closer, there are a few CC top 100 streamers who also don't know the setting if it exists. I don't think it does. And it needs to exist, because it's duuuuuuuuuumb.
