I have been playing FF on my second monitor. I now have only one monitor, but when I start FF it displays on the non-existant second monitor. How can I tell FF to start on my one and only monitor.

Please post what you are using to play the game one (desktop computer, console, laptop, Apple computer, etc..)
And which operating system is used on your device.
If it is a computer/laptop, post which graphics card or accelerator do you have.
There are different processes for properly "removing" a display monitor from the devices for the different platforms that FF14 can be ran on.
Kirika Yuumura of the Noir
The Soldats' Manor, home of the Noir and of Noir's Eorzean Natural History Museum and Aquarium
Plot 7, Ward 22, Shirogane, Faerie
Noir... It is the name of an ancient fate. Two maidens who govern death; the peace of the newly-born Noir hands protect.
New PC build, win 11, MSI 4070 graphics card. I just did a "clean" re-install of win 11, and am currently redownloading FFXIV. It should probably cure the issue. I probably had old configuration file somewhere that win transferred. Will let you know if re-install cures the problem.
Did a clean re-install of FFXIV, same problem. This is on a windows desktop, with a clean install of Win 11. MSI 4070 graphics card. FF was run on a laptop previously, with a secondary monitor. Thats where it is trying to run. What should I do?
If you open the FFXIV.cfg file in Notepad (located in My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn) there's a line that states something like "MainAdapter <GRAPHICS ADAPTER NAME>(\\.\DISPLAY1)" under the Display Settings Tag.
If it states something like \DISPLAY2 change it to \DISPLAY1, save the file and re-launch the game.
That should force it to launch on the correct display.
You can also right-click on your desktop, go to Display Settings and check what displays/screens the computer believes are available (in case it's still seeing the second monitor - which I find very unusual if it does after a full reinstall to be honest).

Found the file does not have a <GRAPHICS ADAPTER NAME>(\\.\DISPLAY1) in it. This is what I got: What can I do?
