Convincing other people of your argument and getting legitimate discourse in response on this trash heap is harder than any content in the game currently. Combat here is more engaging than in-game.
OP, you're wasting your time.
I get it, there seems to be a bubbling contingent of discontent rumbling if you have a specific lean in the game. But you really gotta understand that you're already operating from a horrible position from the outset. Much like there is no honor in defending CBU3, as you said, there's no honor in being a tireless vanguard for a game that will probably never exist. You will get adjustments here and there, but it's not a losing battle, it's a lost one.
Ideologically, I agree with you. Almost all of my friends are those silent leavers, and my social circle in XIV is completely devastated directly as a result of changes to the game, but we all just found other stuff to play with each other in.
Realistically, you're ironically too hopeful. You are literally making yourself more miserable for no reason. Nothing you say, nothing you do will have any effective change when you look at it from the scope of industry-wide standards and the current trajectory of the game. Yes, you may consider the game to be as bland as plain bread, but there is no other option that will lead to immediate results. Even hypothetically, if changes were implemented, they would take years to bear fruit, and you really don't want to roll those dice when SE is the dealer. You may get a pity concession here and there, but the house always wins. Nostalgia and memories from the past expansions will not give you current happiness. So you have to entirely divest your investment for the product if you want to stay relatively sane.
I'm not engaging in this thread because I dislike it. I honestly think there is nothing wrong with being passionate about something you love. But you should take care of yourself, and not open yourself up like you are right now in threads like this.
It's okay to give up, there is zero shame in it. You can even stay subbed, as long as you understand that your perspective simply isn't worth anything.
Some people have misunderstood the point of the post. Perhaps you didn't read it or just didn't understand but I'm not saying we can't have different opinions, why would i come to a public place if I didn't want them I could easily find people who echoed me on reddit. What I am saying is that we have to many replies that are completely unapologetically non engaged with the thread. It's not about them being "meanies" you're not 11, when you're 20- or 30- something and you behave in the ways that some users here have pointed out I'd say its even more annoying than if it was an 11 year old. Because you as an adult should know better. You came here to engage and give your feedback and if you posted threads whatever and got the responses we've gotten from you I KNOW you wouldn't like it. I am trying to point out why it's so pointless to bump threads you don't want to see bumped. But if you still don't understand my point. Perhaps this quoted reply will aid
I think the issue might be the title itself for this thread. It's not referencing people who try to derail topics. It's telling others not to engage with these threads at all, which amounts to just wanting an echo chamber instead of engaging in that very real constructive dialogue you subsequently mention. Perhaps edit the thread title so it sounds more like what you actually mean?
If anything these forums have too much of an echo chamber where if someone posts anything outside of what is deemed acceptable, they get dogpiled and taken out of context. Look at any discussion around balance, exploratory zones, relics, etc. There is exactly one acceptable opinion to have on these forums and that's that the game peaked in Stormblood and has been ruined by SE dumbing down the game. Any other opinion is not tolerated.
Very round about way of saying 'thanks stormpeaks for pumping my threads'.Some people have misunderstood the point of the post.
