Quitting ffxiv for good

But that's exactly it - this time around, if you don't like V/C or IS...then don't do it. Also, there have been 5 expansions (counting ARR as one). There have only been 2 exploratory zones. Most expansions did NOT have "that type of content" as an option. People are just throwing a hissy fit because out of the huge variety of people that play FFXIV, they didn't get specifically catered to yet again, and a different group was focused on instead. Let's grow up a bit, people.

Edit: To go to your pancake/waffle analogy, in the last expansion, there were no pancakes. The last expansion had only waffles, this one has only pancakes. And guess what - there's only so many chefs in the kitchen with only so much time, so they can't make both at the same time. Instead, they served waffles last time, and pancakes this time. Of course, there's also bacon, eggs, hash browns, sausage, bagels, and a slew of other food that's not freshly cooked, but not stale, either. You can always pop it in the microwave for a few seconds and eat it while you wait for them to make waffles again.

Except I did do V/C content. I just exhausted the content for all it was worth in a matter of days, which is what’s being criticized. Also, you’re actually wrong, Diadem existed in HW, and while Diadem was very rough and poorly received, it did exist and was a form of slow burn content, so it’s actually existed for about 6 years of XIV’s life, excluding the very beginning and the very present.

I think you guys in this thread and on the forums in general would absolutely LOVE this thread on Reddit. It's pretty much an FFXIV hatefest.

I wouldn't say it's a "hatefest", because a lot of them do bring up some good points. The game is sorely missing RPG elements and the combat really is quite boring and homogenized to the point that only a tiny percentage of classes/jobs feel different from one another.

I think what he's passive-aggressively trying to allude to is that any form of criticism is a hatefest.

Me too! It's brainless fun. Everyone that posts on their forums hates the game though. To them, WoW is dying. Several threads like this one. But what from what you posted I genuinely thought you would find that game fun. Glad I was right.

Me too! It's brainless fun. Everyone that posts on their forums hates the game though. To them, WoW is dying. Several threads like this one. But what from what you posted I genuinely thought you would find that game fun. Glad I was right.

Nobody hates an MMO than the players that play it themselves.
