Hey, Darty, here's another take on the issues you listed. Have you ever considered that part of the reason things seem so easy now is because you learned the mechanics and have done it all? I'm not sure what you're on about regarding the duty finder, though. I'm on Diabolos and am leveling my fourth job, currently NIN-58, and get my roulettes done every day with a wait time of five minutes on average. Anyway, perhaps it's less about any real or perceived changes in the game's direction but the fact you've simply gotten bored. And, that's okay! No game is meant to be played forever, or in long stretches.

If they would stop reskinning mecanics learning them wouldn't be an issue. Also some fights can still challenge you despite learning the mecs. I think p10s is a good example. I sometimes go into older fights and I do have to concentrate and do them right or they will 1shot me. New ones don't really do this. Yes they added doom but u can cleanse it. I also find criterion mecanics can still be hard even tho I'm almost cleared the dng.

Good luck, OP. It's not an easy thing to leave something that you enjoyed. I've played MMOs for over 20 years now. They grow and change and sometimes that change just isn't something that jives with a person anymore. I hope you're able to find the game that does jive with you and makes you content. Lots of us still enjoy this one and not because we're settling for mediocrity. Even if there are things that aren't our cup of tea, we're still able to find enjoyment and sometimes new things to enjoy from what drew us here in the past. Joyoya had a good comment in another thread about not needing the past to come back and being excited for the future. It sounds like you're not able to find something to be excited about for the future here, and that's perfectly valid. But I echo the sentiments that taking shots at players who are happy does give your feedback at the very least a mean-spirited feeling.

Op isn't being attacked people are pointing out how cringey it is to make attention seeking "I quit" threads especially when they do it multiple times. Throughout the thread op was the one attacking others for pointing out how cringe these types of threads are instead of trying to convince them to stay which is all these threads are for is trying to be convinced to stay.

Blame those who not only couldn't be able to stay true to their own words, but also decided to make their ceremonious return known. In turn, made their defenders look embrassingly laughable.

Either you leave silently, or return without making your presence known. Doing neither, expect drama to happen

Who tf cares? The OP didn't just write "This game sucks. I quit." And then leave. There's actual feedback in the initial post:

- Social content is nonexistent
- Hard content requires too much time investment and easy content is too braindead with little-to-nothing between these opposing poles
- healers have too much healing and too powerful/accessible/free healing that has powercrept damage taken
- rewards for completing content are pointless and underwhelming
- party finder in NA datacenters is dead

Who gives a racoons diarrhea about whether it's an attention seeking thread or not. Untwist your panties for 5 seconds and stop whining and being an internet stalker about someone writing "I quit" in the title and either engage in those points or don't. These are relevant discussion points that other players have brought up, or are at least tangential to those points. As has been brought up already, Dawntrail has already announced having more group-oriented content. Aether's PF is not dead or dying. Valid criticisms of the OPs criticisms.
