And it's honestly why it's so hard to take these forums seriously, the amount of hyperbole in discussions is to the extreme. Asking for things fixed or liking the way things are becomes a matter of "so you want the game to clear itself for you?", or "so you just want it for free?"
No, I don't think this needs to be said, but you cannot complete the game by not using any actions. You will die, and the NPCs will also die and wipe trying to bring you back depending on your job. The game doesn't play itself and it's such a ridiculous concept to even throw that out, that it feels silly to even have to address it.
Why are you so angry? You don't have to start insulting people. I just stated that if you perform minimal movements, you can do almost anything in the game. You don't need to put in any effort in casual content, and you individually do not matter, which is exactly what the OP is complaining about. I wouldn't say something like that if I couldn't back it up, it's not hyperbole.

As Boblawblah requested, here's Dead Ends. I unbound all my job actions except cheer emotes, and didn't move anymore than I thought was absolutely needed to avoid overlapping. I was vacuming my office at the same time, so apologies if some of my decisions aren't exactly as you may want them for someone who completed Dead Ends while being as inconsequential as possible. Shoutout to my brother Urianger with a death action that just removes an enemy from mob packs. It only took 40 minutes, I've had actual nightmare dungeons go longer than that with real people.

Also, I happen to be a Destiny 2 enjoyer on the side, been playing since the very start of D1 Alpha. As a long-term player of both games, it's really a shame that they both are in some of worst states I've ever seen them in at the same time, but I assure you that it's not because Destiny is "unfun" to play because people can't use special weapons on orange bars in Neomuna. The gameplay and potential in Destiny is literally the only thing that keeps it relevant. What's actually killing Destiny is the massive amounts of layoffs at studio, including long-term employees and it's main composers, in order to meet a profit margin projected by out of touch and unpunished senior management. This is straight from the studio. Morale is in the toilet. The monetization, seasonal models, and C-Suite of Destiny is what is choking the life out of it, but the actual act of playing the game remains engaging after a decade because Bungie constantly takes risks in the sandbox and they sometimes listen to fans if they're allowed to.

Please do not speak about what the downfall is of a game you've never played and can't even be bothered to research just because it fits your narrative, Striker. I personally don't care about D2 too much these days, but I do care about the people behind it, and it's outright insulting to the laid off employees, and the many more there will be after the Final Shape expansion wraps up much of the story, underperforms like the last two have based on the overinflated projections of management, and a significant portion of long term fans say farewell to the IP, as Bungie's board and remaining assets are absorbed by Sony, per their contract after the acquisition earlier this year.

Honestly I don't know why you marked it as unlisted. The world should see that. And it should be titled:

FFXIV - STATE OF GAMEPLAY 2023

    Make sure to include:
    #endgamedungeon #recentexpertroulette #maxlevelgameplay

Why do people look back fondly at nier raids. I've never wiped in any of them and they were extremely long and boring.. There's just been that pvp meme in puppets bunker boss 2 with aiming the stack at another party but that's it, it doesn't actually wipe everyone.

I ask the same with Ivalice raids. They're just long and boring.

I felt that way about the Ivalice raids. The NieR ones - I really liked the 1st and 3rd ones, not so much the middle one. I'd say the two biggest reasons I enjoyed them were the particular mechanics and even moreso the music. I ended up playing (and liking!) NieR:Replicant and am now in the middle of NieR:Automata because of hearing the soundtrack in the FFXIV raids.

If you never wiped in any of them, then you didn't do them at launch. There were a few mechanics that used to chew pugs up pretty badly before we learned the dances and outgeared everything. Now they tend to melt before the worst stuff comes out, especially in the Copied Factory.

Personally I liked the first two better, but mostly that's because the Tower's white-on-grey-on-off-white color palette gives me a headache after a while.

Uh I think people are confusing long and boring with Nier. 1st and 3rd one goes on for way too long and the fight mechs are boring

We're going to get patch part II with amazing, lasting content and then its going to be another 4-7 months of the "go play other games" period.
You wouldnt even see half of the people on the forums spending their countless hours writing endless texts in various threads, if the game had some meaningful lasting content.
Dont know why people complain about the "Quitting ffxiv"-title so much, that they're blind to the real issue here.
Must be fun to sit in Limsa all day and browse that mod catalogue while paying real cash in there.

It has "meaningful lasting content" - it also has the reality that not every human being will enjoy every particular type of content. You see the people endlessly whining on the forums because they personally happen to not enjoy the content that exists. Meanwhile, you don't see double the amount of people writing those posts because other people do enjoy that content and are actively playing it in-game.

If you want credibility, this is not the way to go about earning it. Setting up strawmen and insulting people just for not sharing your opinion doesn't help whatever cause you have.

I dont want or need credibility. I'm posting my own opinion on the forums. Wether you like it or not, doesn't matter. I'm using the forums as asked and leave feedback about the current state of the game. There might be people that enjoy and have enough content to catch up to. I do not.

And this is not about egoistic views or selfish thoughts. If I'm lucky a few other players share the same situation as me and would like to see a change in a few directions, such as the formula is being exactly the same for every expansion.
