Unable to elect master. That character has not been a member for long enough.

Hi All,

As the title says, i'm trying to promote someone to master in the FC but I keep getting this message:

Unable to elect master. That character has not been a member for long enough.

It's been over 24 hours, how long does someone need to be a member for this to proceed?

From the 6.1 patch notes:

"Players must now remain in a free company for a minimum of 30 days before the rank of free company master can be transferred to them."

So... now I gotta wait an entire month before I can turn my FC over to a friend I just brought in? Very uncool.

Sorry to bump an ancient thread, but does that mean to the minute? I am trying to promote someone to Company Master, it has been 30 days (11/4-12/4). Lodestone says this member joined the FC at 11:35 pm local time on 11/4. do I have to wait until after that time before they are eligible for promotion?

Most likely. Also, Lodestone times aren't always exact. May be less annoying to wait an extra day than to keep trying and keep getting the not eligible message.
