RMT messages on the public chat

Hello its me Master Zeratos on the Ultros server.

I see a lot of RMT messages on public chat in-game (Limsa Lominsa) and i always hate those who try to sell gils for real money (Compagnies on internet selling gils) This is forbidden.

I report them always.

I enjoy reportting them to the devs so RMT can be stopped.

I help the game against the fight of RMT.

it is actually no point in reporting them coz I discovered today that
1 Google list up their addresses as ok here you go
2. Trustpilot endorse them and recommend it is a safe place to go.
3. Scamadvisor the same.
4. Above companies apparently do not care like Sqe that this Gils, resources whatever is stolen from hacked accounts.
5. A friend of mine got ripped off and trace routed this to a 3rd world country due to racism I will not tell what country or continent that is.
6. He gave all intel to Sqe, no reply, nothing.
7. We both now consider to quit, due to lack off action from Sqe in over 6 months re the market bot on Light and Chaos
8. This Scandal has now a Ten (10) year merit time.
9. We debated other MMO's but the same happens there and as Sqe nothing happens so why bother with MMO's
10. Hacking links is send to gamers on regular basis to cease assets, Gils etc and also tries to rip off your bank account.

So why bother, by continuing to game I actually endorse crimes indirectly, maybe even rape, terror and similar activities.
That is not "fun" to think about.
So in 6 weeks I am out unless Sqe actually does something but we all know they do nothing.
And when the next bots comes, it is new 6 months or more.

And the gaming enviroment is declining, raids with griefers, dungeons with griefers, healers that do not give a darn about doing their job etc.
So Ciao this game had so much promise but everything has an end.

People likely bot reviews or encourage their customers to leave reviews for some kind of discount or deal or something.

SE warns against malicious links on the lodestone, and it's just basic internet hygiene to not click on urls you don't trust and triple check where you're entering your info. It's unfortunate that something like that happened to your friend, be careful online next time.

I personally gave up on reporting RMT bots because there's no point, they likely have hundreds of compromised accounts to cycle through. I remember there was a huge influx of bots in Gridania that were so many they affected the visibility of players, I reported them 2 days later they were gone and I never saw them again. I believe action is being taken but it might not be enough, it could also be they're trying to figure out ways to break the bot activity- I fear we never know anything behind the scenes.

You're not endorsing any crimes by playing this game...RMT will always be a cat/mouse sort of deal sadly and it's a plague on any MMO. I wish Square Enix had better customer support, I always go and say pray you never have an issue that requires you to need customer support. I don't think I ever got anything aside from a copy paste response, I'd like to think these people are overwhelmed by sheer amount of reports.
