I would like to suggest also chandelier in "off mode". That you can install and it does not have light source attached to it

I'd take that one step farther and allow for ceiling furnishings, not just chandeliers. Those beamed ceilings are pretty boring and in some ways intrusive, just as the wall pillars are.
