Let Me Send My Friends Christmas Presents

I know the crappy reasoning behind why SE took away gifting shit to friends but I find it god damn offensive. Like here's a game where we make friend on other countries and it's literally Christmas time. You'd think they'd at least let us send gifts for fucking Christmas? It's literally so impressive how stupid this is. All my friend wants is a pizza emote. JUST LET ME SEND CHRISTMAS GIFTS!!!

Just send them money to buy it. If you're too afraid to send them money, they're not really your friends I guess.

SE used to allow all Mogstation items to be gifted, however they stopped that about two years ago due to credit card scammers/hackers stealing player account information and then using the stolen player information, specifically their credit card info, to 'gift' themselves expensive Mogstation purchases like mounts.

As usual, a few bad eggs spoil everything: "this is why we can't have nice things" and all that.

I think that if their programmers are able to do the amazing things they're degrees and years of experience allow them to do, they should theoretically be able to create a system that meets us halfway. Some way for us to gift items to our friends, but without compromising our personal information, or our wallets. And as far as sending them money, that only applies to items that are actually on the Mog Station, and not everything can be found there. Wouldn't it be nice if you could gift a one-of-a-kind item that COULD be obtained by the player (without having to clear savage/ultimate/etc), because you really care about them @w@
For one, maybe make a program that limits the number of times you can gift a specific category of items or specific item itself to that specific player? I know we have categories for things like Unique and Untradeable, but maybe put a limit on those to prevent people from taking advantage of it, like, if they possess the item in ANY of their inventories (personal, retainer, chocobo saddelbag, etc.), then they can't obtain another copy. And if it's, like I said, something you normally have to farm or trade in from stuff from savage or ultimate or whatever, then they can't gift it. But glams should always be giftable, and certain mounts should be giftable. I mean, why not also include the Grade 3 Wheels for FC's, that give you grade 3 company actions? Those are limited as untradeable and market board prohibited, but the means to obtain them is so roundabout and tedious, and they're one-time usage items anyway, PLUS you can only hold up to 15 actions in a company unused anyway.
These are just some of my thoughts...
