Wrong thread; this is for EE3. The alphabet discussion sits across both but I went this side to whinge about proofreading errors.

thanks- will say on protoscript I'd want a comparison of how much Sanskrit has changed versus the Phoenician or Chinese scripts. The version for the First does feel like it was it trying to evoke a Gothic script/Blackletter vibe, which does take some adjustment to read when used to Roman style that became the modern norm.
Is Anogg's bio blotted out on purpose?
The extent we got is "Fandaniel summoned her for him", I think?? And besides, Zenos was not a reincarnated Ancient, so he... wouldn't have shards in the other reflections in the first place, would he? Although... what does that say about 'duplicate' NPCs (e.g. Rowena, Gerolt) we run into in the First, then...?
Glamour without restrictions* is long overdue!
If you think so too, help keep the thread going!

Oh I mixed something up then, sorry. For some reason I thought that every person was a sundered ancient.
But it sounds like this is not the case and after the sundering, in addition to the sundered souls of the ancients, completely new souls also emerged/were also born without any ties to pre-existing ancients?
But wouldn't that mean that only the sundered remnants of ancients could be reapers because only they'd have reflections on the other shards, incl. the 13th, to call upon as avatars?
You are correct that he did enslave someone else to become his avatar. It would depend on if you consider the souls that were inside the new life made from the 2nd sacrifice as Ancient or not. As if they were freshly minted souls then they would have been sundered but not have the trauma of the Final Days seared onto their soul. If they were preexisting souls that were in the Sea during the Final Days then I'm not sure if they would have said soul searing. Then you have those that died during the final days that I want to say got sent to the Metiea soul egg pouch and thus wouldn't be part of the equation. We then have to remember that the Star probably made new souls post sundering as a good chunk of souls were in purgatory do to being stuck inside Zodiark. Where any post sundering souls might not have any reflections as each Sea is its own separate thing. The problem is unless the person wakes up to the Echo we won't know what kind of soul they have.
Zenos on his own is an oddball to begin with as he's the great grandchild of an Unsundered.
When the world was sundered, the lifestream was sundered too. Ancients weren’t the only beings with souls and purposefully gave their souls back to the lifestream at the end of their life’s work so they could be recycled and reborn.Oh I mixed something up then, sorry. I don’t believe Ancients will only be reborn as other Ancients. If you have the Echo, I took that as meaning that you are a reincarnation of an Ancient who was alive when the Final Days happened. Your past self could theoretically have seen the original starfall during the Final Days and then died during it, as I’m sure many if not most people did, and then your soul was split while in the lifestream when the Sundering occurred.
People like G’raha still have the expected density of souls (though he has even more because time travel shenanigans) even if they don’t have the Echo.
As far as reapers, that was put forward as a theory in EE3, but it might not necessarily be the case since I was under the impression that our 13th soul shard was the OG Golbez and that soul is locked in memoria.
