I feel SE is screwing up royally. They better give a benefit to group leveling or they are going to shoot themselves in the foot.

They have no reason to remove leveling by exploring the world and killing what is in it, and I am hoping they are not nerfing it to where Solo Questing > Group grinding... or they have screwed up like so many other mmos have.

They should of just added many different ways to level, not force the community into one method.

A WoW clone is the quickest way to end XIV, because there is simply no way this game can out mainstream GW2, Tera, ToR, and WoW:Panda Land. They will get few ppl who will stay and will lose what they already have.

A mmo is about community and SE needs to realize this... People are not going to give them time at 2.0 to fix this if they screw up that fundamental concept.

I'm telling you right now, FFXIV 2.0 will still have Monsters to kill, in an interview back at E3 there was a question as to why there were no monsters? Yoshi-P said they aren't hooked up to any Server so there is nothing be the Character and the surrounding area with no monsters. ( this was when Yoshi-P was on his Laptop showing to the people behind closed doors of 2.0 in its early stages).

There will be Monsters Roaming to kill like normal, just they are adding other means of getting exp besides grinding on mobs all day long. For the people that can't tolerate doing the same thing over and over again.

I don't think anyone doubts there will be roaming monsters. The fear is that grinding them in a party will no longer be a viable or efficient method of getting exp -- as is the case in every game the uses a quest/instance driven leveling style.

This is why you don't seem to fully understand SE lol. 2.0 is purely about making money for them and they'll more than likely throw out everything they wanted to do/have been doing to make that money.

Just because mob grinding is going away doesn't mean that all party content is going with it. There will be a strong emphasis on dungeons, as well as a redesign of the behest, caravan systems. I imagine there will also be plenty of group quests as well. Jobs are still relevant without the grinding.

I'm cool with that tbh, I love grinding.. but I'm sure everyone has their limit to How much one can grind without pulling out their hair. If Mobs are soloable free roam that's cool, I'm sure you could "still party" with them just by venturing out to harder mobs at your level and still get that party aspect feeling.

    4Gamer:
     初期のFFXIVでは,ビヘストがカジュアルに大人数で参加できるコンテンツでしたが,それに替わる大人数で遊べるコンテンツがあるのは個人的にはうれしいです。新生FFXIVにもビヘストはあるんですよね。
At beginning of FFXIV behest was a content which many players could join casually, I’m happy there is a content that will be in replace of that. In 2.0 FFXIV there will be behest right?

It will be changed to something which can joined more casually. Just think of it as practice content before you get into full on party play. There is a quest, guildleve, casual party contents such as behest, then after that you have dungeons to play with party, then instance raids and further ahead there are alliance raids or primal raids...... like that. The direction of contents is setup where you start from solo to party.
