I think if you canvass the MMO community, these days people aren't much enamoured by WoW anymore. Everywhere you look on MMO sites, people are raving about GW2, and ArcheAge, B&S and other such games which are being innnovative with the MMO platform.

The hype surrounding FFXIV 2.0 is sustained right now on promises that things might get better. But so far nobody has really seen proof of that. If it turns out that FFXIV is just WoW with FFXIV's graphics, it might very well happen that people aren't so hyped about FFXIV 2.0 as you so fervently believe.

If their's no proof of anything, then their really shouldn't be complaining till such proof exists. In August we will know all the Information we will need to know about the game.. and then this discussion can resume once again.
