You guys talk as if quest will be the only way to level up. Calm down do you really think SE will remove exp from mobs?

I'm guessing each class/job will have enough quests of their own (outside of main story) to level up.
Time will only tell how everything plays out, still I am hopeful for the future for Final Fantasy XIV.

i don't understand why people are jumping on rokien this time. all i have seen him say is that there should be more options on leveling and they should all be around the same exp.
all i have seen is that grinding, quests, and raids should be comparable to each other and not make one op and the other worthless. that is a point i completely agree on.

They should get rid of levels and make you kill bosses to collect heart containers :P... anyway.. this is interesting.. how will you level another job when you finish the story line? What if all your friends are farther ahead or behind in the quest?

I enjoy mob grinding with a full party.

I never got to play DDO, so I'd like some examples of how quests worked in that game, if you could.
You're the rice ball. :O
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

Well, I guess they're pretty much dungeons except with quest objectives on them. It's pretty much a dungeon with a feeling of purpose while in it unlike, lets say Aurum Vale where you know the Garleans are there but it feels like you're going through a random Skyrim cave that you find to get good gear. It also doesn't require much reading because the game master speaks while you're going through the quest, but that wouldn't make much sense in XIV.
