This is why you don't seem to fully understand SE lol. 2.0 is purely about making money for them and they'll more than likely throw out everything they wanted to do/have been doing to make that money.

Just because mob grinding is going away doesn't mean that all party content is going with it. There will be a strong emphasis on dungeons, as well as a redesign of the behest, caravan systems. I imagine there will also be plenty of group quests as well. Jobs are still relevant without the grinding.

初期のFFXIVでは,ビヘストがカジュアルに大人数で参加できるコンテンツでしたが,それに替わる大人数で遊べるコンテンツがあるのは個人的にはうれしいです。新生FFXIVにもビヘストはあるんですよね。
At beginning of FFXIV behest was a content which many players could join casually, I’m happy there is a content that will be in replace of that. In 2.0 FFXIV there will be behest right?
It will be changed to something which can joined more casually. Just think of it as practice content before you get into full on party play. There is a quest, guildleve, casual party contents such as behest, then after that you have dungeons to play with party, then instance raids and further ahead there are alliance raids or primal raids...... like that. The direction of contents is setup where you start from solo to party.

What is a "current" gen MMO? They all seem to be derivative of the quest chaining that WOW popularized. GW2 is probably the most unique since it gets rid of the quest hub, but even then almost every quest is 99% kill/collect grindfest.
If anyone has continue to advance the system, I think its Blizzard. There is a nice chunk of non-kill quests and the phasing stuff makes it feel like your actions are really impacting the game world.
Yes, they're all pretty derivative, but they also attempt to make progress in at least some areas; be it either combat, or dynamic questing, or open worlds; and ArcheAge probably steps away from the mould a lot more than most games. The point is, all those games have some kind of authoratative stance on their MMO whereas Yoshi just panders to the lowest common denominator that wants WoW served on a platter in FFXIV's skin. Only, nobody actually wants that anyway. Lol.What is a "current" gen MMO? They all seem to be derivative of the quest chaining that WOW popularized. We don't know enough details about leveling in 2.0 to make that determination. All we know is that it will be quest driven and faster than what we have now -- a description that would fit any other game mentioned in this thread.Yes, they're all pretty derivative, but they also attempt to make progress in at least some areas; be it either combat, or dynamic questing, or open worlds; and ArcheAge probably steps away from the mould a lot more than most games. I do agree that no body wants a "World of Final Fantasycraft"; I've said as much in other threads. However, that doesn't mean Yoshi should forsake everything about WOW, it actually did plenty right and there is a lot he can take and apply here that will improve the experience for both hardcore and casual gamers.
Idk how many times people have said that "we don't know" whenever I complain about something. Though, everything that I have complained about gets pretty clear as time goes on, and it's looking just like how I've been saying it will look.We don't know enough details about leveling in 2.0 to make that determination. You don't know anything, and when you happen to say something right you Boast your self up like your 312 Yes likes on the Longer thread.
Edit: I have faith because what I have seen thus far hasn't made me quiver in fear. like every little drop of information does to you

When you've lost so much trust in the developers that you will trash something without ever trying it or knowing anything about it, then its time to wave goodbye.
I'm pretty sure some of these guys are paid spokespersons.
FFXIV 2.0 is shaping up to the most unambitious MMO. They just copy everything anyone else did in the genre 5 years ago and reproduce it at 50% the quality.
