Just like your "claim" that everything in-game is "terrible"? Isn't that just an opinion, too? Oh my...
Personally, I've never bought a single thing off the cash shop, and when it comes to glams, my biggest complaint is the limited number of sets you can create...there's so many transmogs I like that from the in-game gear that it annoys me I can only set up a few for each role.
I never said it wasn't only my opinion lol, it's implied that it is because it's logical that it's just my own personal opinionJust like your "claim" that everything in-game is "terrible"? Isn't that just an opinion, too? Oh my...

The Legends of the Titanmen lives on, a shining example of the power of compassion and the ability of people to make a difference in the world. A reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope, as long as there are heroes like the Titanmen who dare to do good deeds in Eorzea.
Apologies, I was mistaken, I thought you could sell the Dyes on the Marketboard, I'll edit the main post to cross it out.
No lolTrain Simulator. Regardless of what release of the game, the price tag is what has made that game series notorious. Some releases with all DLC included could be $2000, $3000, or even more than $10,000 in a game about trains. Crazy right?
On the FFXIV Mogstation, there are about 695 Items you can purchase at this time of writing. (12/18/2023)
The most expensive option is 5 Vials of Fantasia at $45.
Second is the Lunar Whale Mount
Third is 5 Copies of Tales of Adventure: One Retainer's Journey III
The least expensive is the base wedding plan, since it is free. Otherwise, its tied with single pots of dye at $1.00 USD.
If you bought atleast of 1 of everything available to purchase (this includes single items and sets that could include those single items), it would cost around $5,417.36 USD.
Im currently working on what each category costs rather than the total of everything together.
What are your thoughts?
Personally, I think its awful that so much is in the cash shop. We have so many avenues for items to be introduced to the game. Such as that one vendor in Gridania that uses the currency you get from achievements to get rewards. Another point, many of the glams do not support Viera and Hrothgars, which you'd hope that if you paid real money for something it'd be held to a higher standard.
Many of these items can be put on the Marketboard for in-game currency, creating a way of buying gold though it has an additional step to that whole song and dance, but more or less being official RMT.I was mistaken, I thought the Dye on Mogstation and its counterpart on the Marketboard were the same.
As for the hroth/Viera thing when it comes to glam. That comes down to male/female only glam and they been making more and more equippable to either sex. I'm more astonished you didn't mention hairstyles which is the main issue
The Hroth/Viera thing is that a significant number of the outfits sold that come with hats simply do not show those hats on Hrothgar and Viera. (My memory's not entirely clear, but I believe the explicit warning about that which is now on those outfits wasn't around at first, either, so people were buying outfits without ever being told that they simply wouldn't be able to use the hat.)
But yeah, not related to gender-exclusive outfits, that is a separate issue.
Just change to Hyur once, and don't waste moeny on fantasia anymore
Yes, it's a lot of items but I don't really have a complaint about it.
We haven't seen any reduction in cosmetics or good cosmetics in-game, the cash-shop works as an asides to normal content is is extra.
Square Enix could really be doing far more with the cash-shop to be honest, the amount of clothing and hair that could sell monthly would be far greater if they released them more regularly. If they released a hairstyle a month I'm sure there would be *many* people would would buy all, or most of them. Players want more and this is strongly evidenced by forbidden things against the TOS that people actively seek and even pay for.
Again, it's fine as long as the content in the main game isn't reduced, or they start selling more convenience than they are now. I got a bit more of a problem with the retainer service charge than cosmetics shop.
