What’s that?

Ok this thread is over. Lets move on
Hmmmm, then it is rather alarming & terrifying; no matter how small this bug may be… I was under the impression you’d have to interact with anything from within (as previous posters had otherwise mentioned.)Interacting with anything inside the house should not be necessary, and normally isn't necessary.
Merely entering your house is supposed to reset the timer, and that is how it usually works.
There might well be a bug such that just entering the house sometimes does not reset the timer, but that is a rare occurrence if it happens.
If this, or better yet, was the case that it happened to OP then it concerns me strongly, especially after I’ve managed to win a small plot after 3 years.
PS: Thanks for your sincere & formal answer. It’s rather amazing how “certain” individuals can be be beyond condescending to others or as further as belittling.
PSS: I apologize to anyone for my recent posts in response to that mad-well infamous known poster whose name isn’t worth mentioning.

Also spare me with your childish comments, you ain't impressing anyone, there is nothing "mad" about telling someone they are wrong, your responses though can be considered as such, because apparently you don't know when to take the L when you are wrong.

Give it up, you’re well known
You generally don't have to but it is recommended "just in case". I've watched friends reset their timers just by entering. I've also watched friends go into their houses without their timer resetting, just for it to reset when they interact with something like one of the vendor NPCs. It was helpful being a tenant so I could watch when the timer actually updated.
I don't think anything of it when it comes to my own house because I'm always using the Summoning Bell in my house to check my retainers daily.
As I said earlier, those who go into their houses regularly shouldn't have to worry. Even if the bug occurs during one entry, the next entry will probably work properly.
It's the players that go into their houses very infrequently that need to be cautious. They may not re-enter in time if the last entry was bugged.
I recently entered my alt's personal and as soon as I walked in, it said the timer was no longer counting down. EZPZ.
