Thanks. I might have to do a bit of this and dresser filling. That looks like what seems I might have to do.I would buy an Apartment, not only do they never expire if you don't enter them, but you get 100 spaces to dump furnishings in the room, plus another 100 for storing even more furnishings.
You will be out of luck for exterior furnishing storage though.
So, you could take a few furnishings from the NPC at a time and dump them into the Apartment.
Don't forget to reclaim the Gil from the same NPC as well, you get back 80% of your houses purchase price, but you probably noticed that already.
Some options for extra space without buying a retainer: if you don’t already have one, you can get an apartment and/or fc room and use it for deco storage. Apartments are better in that they never expire and they are not linked to fc membership but you can get both if you need to. If you have both, that’s 400 slots (100 placed decos and 100 in storage each).Well, it looks like I lost my house despite visiting it often enough to keep it. I was vigilant enough for years to keep my house, but the game didn’t care. Anyway, my stuff is at the resident caretaker and I don’t have enough free space to get everything back. Am I just going to lose all of my housing collection?
If you have access to an fc chest, you can make an alt and level it till you have access to retainers (lvl 17 quest tied to MSQ progress of same lvl) and then pass the decos to your alt via the fc chest. It works for decos, interior and exterior, that have been used save the few that are marked as untradeable like mogstation items.

You didn't do anything inside the house at all, so it is another excuse out there.
YOu would have gotten a demo email a week before actually demolition. it won't tell you which character it will just say your plot is slated for demolition in 7 days. I gotten one last month because I had been on a different DC altogether. if its a bug as you say it is you need to file a GM ticket.Well, it looks like I lost my house despite visiting it often enough to keep it. Oddly I've never gotten a notice email, even in my spam.
Of the once or twice I had it come close, the ingame timers menu and the system notice in the chat box always worked.
I even intentionally let myself get close for testing. Made a dumb video to help people recognize it.
But even then there was no email.

I don't know about that one chief:

Oh I agree that the auto demolition emails have always been buggy at best, but inside the game it works fine.I don't know about that one chief:

If you use your house it doesn't get demo'd.
If you don't, why have a house ? It's that simple really, I have multiple houses and have never had one randomly demolishing like these people pretend, some people forget to go inside the house, some people go to their fc instead of personal and forget and many more possible reasons, but that doesn't change the fact that auto demo works fine.
The email will randomly not go out sometimes.YOu would have gotten a demo email a week before actually demolition. it won't tell you which character it will just say your plot is slated for demolition in 7 days. From experience. I've had my house be a little close before due to vacation and such, and never received an email at all. I've heard cases of people getting emails after their house got demo'd too.
Let's be honest, the system sucks and is unreliable at best. I wouldn't be surprised at all if something didn't get flagged properly and they lost their house.
