i just dont buy this tbh. your post lacks a lot of "care" or legitimate frustration that would come with loosing your house unfairly like this. i feel like your just posting this to make people in comments argue and fight.Well, it looks like I lost my house despite visiting it often enough to keep it. I was vigilant enough for years to keep my house, but the game didn’t care. Anyway, my stuff is at the resident caretaker and I don’t have enough free space to get everything back. Am I just going to lose all of my housing collection?

I’m not a big housing person. I got one on a whim and held on to it for dear life for years. I can’t remember how long I had it. Probably 8 years or near there. I used it to store all the housing items the game kept throwing at me. Housing is not big deal for me, but do want to know what to do in this situation. I can’t even get a house if I want to, because I can’t collect my stuff since I don’t have the inventory to.
As harsh as it may seem, you're just going to have to make some decisions on what you keep and what you don't, on your retainers, saddlebag and inventory. If you're holding on to gathering items, they can all be gathered again. Same with any crafted items, that don't include super rare mats. Just dump stuff.I’m not a big housing person. However, if you're not a big housing person... do you really care what happens to the housing items?

Housing is not my priority, but it was nice having one. Since I had a lot of items I earned for free doing the every holiday quest since 2.0, I’d hate to have to buy stuff with real money when I earned it fair and square. I was already looking to go to a new location, but now I’m forced to, but can’t due to my stuff being in an NPC.As harsh as it may seem, you're just going to have to make some decisions on what you keep and what you don't, on your retainers, saddlebag and inventory. Yea, so just make space and claim it off the NPC. How much stuff are you holding on to, that you really don't need to?Housing is not my priority, but it was nice having one. Did you try submitting a ticket to a GM?I’m not a big housing person. I got one on a whim and held on to it for dear life for years. I can’t remember how long I had it. I do think the /timer thing helps, I'll probably start doing that since I only go in and repair my equipment in it occasionally. Fun fact, I ran into people using my house to RP one day by accident. They were like.... You're not supposed to be here... and I was like psshhhh this my house. OUT. If I could've I would've gotten a broom and smacked them with it.

Some options for extra space without buying a retainer: if you don’t already have one, you can get an apartment and/or fc room and use it for deco storage. Apartments are better in that they never expire and they are not linked to fc membership but you can get both if you need to. If you have both, that’s 400 slots (100 placed decos and 100 in storage each).Well, it looks like I lost my house despite visiting it often enough to keep it. If you have access to an fc chest, you can make an alt and level it till you have access to retainers (lvl 17 quest tied to MSQ progress of same lvl) and then pass the decos to your alt via the fc chest. It works for decos, interior and exterior, that have been used save the few that are marked as untradeable like mogstation items.

You didn't do anything inside the house at all, so it is another excuse out there.
