    Issue with SE/PSN Account

    I first started playing FFXIV back in 2014 or so on the PS4, but quickly switched to PC. Since then, I was recently able to get a PS5; however, when I start the game and go to log in, I get an error message that states my account is already in use with another PSN account/PS console.

    I do not have the original PS4 console I used to play on and I believe I deleted the original PSN account years ago. Is there any way for my PSN account to be updated to the new account/console I have now? Or am I limited to PC play only from now on?

    when you switched to PC did you create a new Square Enix account as well?

    If your old PSN ID is attached to the current Square Enix Account you use to play then you are out of luck, because decoupling the PSN ID from it destroys the Square Enix Account too.

    I don't know much about recovering old PSN accounts, but perhaps try to do that with Sony support to see if you can get your old account back.

    We're very sorry to hear about your account issue. Unfortunately, the issue you are describing is something we are not able to assist with in the Technical Support Forums. As this is regarding an account issue, we advise to contact the SQUARE ENIX Support Center as they may be able to look into the issue further. As your fellow adventurer DrWho2010 has also mentioned, you may also try and recover your original PSN Account with PlayStation/Sony Support.
