What would it take to make you unsub from xiv

General content is Endwalker 2.0 and Job design is Shadowbringers 3.0. At some point I just have to give up.

That being said, if that does happen I'll probably will return whenever I feel like I get the itch for a month or so.

The only thing that would make me "quit" is if they dumb down tanking harder than they already have.

I already haven't really been playing the game and have instead been back to WoW and I'm having a blast on both retail and Season of Discovery (Classic)

Honestly, the boredom isn't helping. There's nothing to do or rather nothing worth doing. I'm behind on a ton of optional content. And I have zero drive to do any of it.

I only have 5 jobs left to level to 90. They're the last 5 for a reason.

All of my old friends quit. All of my new friends have stopped playing

My old FC leader was so toxic about me leaving that I don't know if I will ever join another FC again.

We could keep going honestly, but there is almost no reason for me to keep playing, and I'm not sure why I still do.

At this point the only thing that would make me quit for good would be an invasive anti-cheat like Xigncode3, more for the health of my SSD than anything

Other than that, I will probably keep coming back to check out things now and then

Long story short, the direction of healers should have caused me to unsub a long time ago, but my long-standing love for the game has kept me around far longer, but that battery is completely drained now. I’m honestly only still subbed to stay in contact with the community for when we start seeing more information about job changes. The Japanese fanfest might give us some hints, but probably won’t be enough information to make any sudden decisions. But if the job actions trailer launches and Sage is the same but with even more healing cooldowns that no one needs and nothing to address the lack of damage options, lack of Kardia engagement, and the abominable state Addersting has been in all throughout EW, then that will be the last straw for me.

I dont unsub and just take a break and focus on other games. I still log in to work on some extra content especially on alts so me subbing is still justified just to access my character

Just keep pumping money into PR and keep ignoring players pleas to fix small bugs and QOL stuff and it won't need a lot to make people actually leave.

My biggest gripe is lack of dialogue or receiving feedback on our own feedback.
It is probably a big deal to say NO as developer to various (even if completely stupid) player requests, to come out clear with the game direction.

When there is time for dialogue, a strategic misdirection is launched to derail the original question. Same with blizzard and their missteps. (store items strategically launched to cover up their lgbt tweet with "LIAR" shirt and so on)

It's just difficult to search for information, and then to be dissapointed finding out it's not true or not happening soon.

My sub ends in 15 days and I don't plan to sub any time so soon.

I'll only come back if the battle design goes back to the way it was either in HW or SB.

Pre-ShB, I have fun in most of casual content, playing as any role. Now, I only have fun in some high-end content, and only playing as either drg or gnb.

I'm really tired of this job simplicity and homogenization, the game became sooooo boring to play....
