the new christmas glam is lazy

this years new christmas glam is very poor. we have consistently had better in the past, therefor i know its a standard squex can live up to.. but this years glamour is just not good enough.. its extremly generic and honestly recieving nothing would have been better.

In other words: Bah, humbug!

we were promised content between 6.5 and 6.55 but weve had nothing for months...

We have had everything we were promised in that time, I can assure you.

The new variant and criterion dungeons? Yes, we did in fact get those as promised. The new pvp arena? Yes, we got that too. The halloween event? Probably wasn't even promised but we got it anyway. The Fallguys crossover? We got that as well.

We already got the splendorous tools, but in 6.55 we will get a new relic, more Hildibrand, the allied beast tribes and another Tataru's Grand Adventure. We are going to get the next half of the MSQ that sets up the expansion sometime around Fan Fest in January as well.

I wasn't really expecting the FFXVI crossover or the Xbox test until next year (which is sooner than it sounds) and an exact date hasn't been provided yet.

I like the set, it promises coca cola santa and it delivers exactly one. The garden decoration is good as well.

No monkey paw this time although having event hats (that eventually make it to online store) Viera compatible would be good promo and new quality standard for Dawntrail and its promised visual improvements.


One thing I am a little bit dissapointed is that the events and this year minimally resonated with 10th anniversary, feels like a missed opportunity.
Myself I would welcome rather to be able to to pick one of the past years quest chains for the past holidays to be able to get the respective rewards.

Something that would say we also care about existing players, not just about hooking up new ones.


I know WoW has been neglecting their holiday events pretty much completely in the past, but for 15th anniversary gave players free mount which two expansions later still surpasses new mounts in terms of detail and resolution.
What I'm trying to say is they did not mind giving their old players something really good looking for being their customers in times of BFA before their online store existed in form as is now.


I just realized we did get rising phoenix as anniversary reward. it reminds me of firebird, not big fan of it but if there is anyone that likes the rising phoenix and uses it as their main mount, good for you, hope you will be enjoying it for long.

As someone who has wanted a classic standard coca cola-esque Santa suit, I am all here for this glamour. Not sure why it's being called out as lazy as the classic design doesn't reduce any of the work required to design it and model it for the game and all of its races. The only issue would be dependent on whether or not Viera and Hrothgar can use the hat.

This is a very much subjective thing. Sucks that you don't like it, but it doesn't make it lazy or that there aren't people who want it.

Personally every time we get an outfit, I'm fine. The only time I get pissed is when we get a minion or some low effort reward. I'm not going to wear this, but I appreciate them making an outfit and rewarding it. I will get it and store it though, for if I'm ever in the mood.

It's more so that it's very basic and holidays events have been very bare minimum lately compared to in the past, thanks to the mog shop

I like it. I was positively suprised. Wont be wearing it though since i was hoping for a cute dress instead. (We need more of those) but nonetheless, i think its Nice to finally Get a real santa outfit. And the boots are cute.

The new Santa Costume ... boring and really lazy made 0815. And the other Item again an Garden Item.
Wonder where I should place it? On my non-existing Balcony in my Rathole Apartment? On my Island which has nothing Christmas like, not even a single Deco.
Had been better to give us a Grinch Costume and a Grinch Tree for Houses / Apartments.
