USB Controller Unable to Calibrate

I got this controller about a week ago, and starting off it worked perfectly. Though, recently, I booted up FFXIV and all of a sudden the button mapping was all over the place. My first instinct was to try and recalibrate it myself, however, as soon as I try recalibrating I'm unable to get past this step:



No matter what I press, nothing registers, despite the fact that the game recognized inputs just a moment before (incorrectly mapped as they may have been.)

FFXIV is the only game where this is an issue, the controller works great with every other game on my PC and none of them experienced the sudden re-mapping of buttons. Does anyone know how to fix this, or at least make it so I can actually map the buttons myself again?

Check the system config first, you can change the controller button type:

System Configuration > Gamepad Settings > Gamepad Type.
Here, select PS4/5 from the list, and then you can use the Calibrate.

If it already has PS4/5 selected, try a different type.

No dice, unfortunately. I tried restarting the game with each gamepad type, toggling the POV with them all, and none of them let me do calibration.

I think I had the same when steam was active and had that one setting activated for gamepad usage. It prioritises input to steam instead of the game for some reason. Otherwise I would try to recalibrate it on PC ( in windows I guess for you?), but maybe check what other application could be using controller as input too.
