Endwalker Soundtrack

I started playing FF XIV seriously right before Endwalker was released. Over this last weekend, I defeated Zeromus and wrapped up the 6.5 content. So, for the first time, I am now caught up on the MSQ, at least until 6.55 drops.

One of the things I have enjoyed the most about Endwalker was the music. I have enjoyed FF IV since it was released in 1991 (still remember the SNES cartridge which called it Final Fantasy II lol), so all of the musical references in Endwalker were amazing. I want to get the soundtrack but looking at current listings, it appears that right now, the only version available is the original release.

I am assuming that at some point there will be a release of the music from 6.1 onwards. My question is, when can that be expected? Looking at the Shadowbringers soundtrack, that one did have that music added eventually. I would assume it wouldn't be until after 6.55 drops, unless it's already out and I missed it. If I buy the current soundtrack now, does the 6.1-6.5 music get a separate release or would I have to buy the whole thing again?

Patch soundtracks are always a seperate album release, usually done sometime after the final numbered main content patch for that expansion, so for Endwalker that would mean 6.55 (or patch 6.5 part 2) which isn't due til early next year (January/Febuary). The patch OST albums also take the same name as the final content patch, so for EW's one it will be most likely called 'Growing Light' accordingly, even though it will feature all the music from 6.1 - 6.5.

I believe some of the 6.1 to 6.5 patch music has already been released on the Apple Store and Spotify though for individual purchase as 'mini albums' which is a stop-gap til to the full album is released.

Enkidoh, thanks for the info! I will go ahead and buy the OST then with the anticipation of the 6.1 - 6.5 album at a later time!
