The Aether Problem

So far, no acknowledgement of the same issue occuring with Aether and Light.

Queue Times across the board for important trials in Shadowbringers have been ABYSMAL. Sure, that's what the Duty Support System is for in Dungeons, but when you get to important Trials like Titania, Innocence, and Hades?

They have always been slow like that for Shadowbringers trials. The higher level you get, the smaller the pool in queue for trial roulette. But obviously everyone going to Aether wrecks it for the other data centers.

this is why they need to build the infrastructure to support the Cloud and use it for Duty/Dungeon/Trial Instances.

I think the biggest benefit of the cloud is that they don't have to get people to physically adjust machine parts to shift things around, because the cloud is designed to be stretched in a dynamic way over as many machines as needed and Amazon has all the servers they could need, without them needing to go and buy a new part or struggle to get a new part due to a semi-conductor shortage.

Setting up a brand new server or increasing space should be as simple as clicking some buttons, instead of getting engineers to physically install a new machine or a new storage drive.

But the biggest potential benefit should be that housing should be easier to make limitless and even if that's the only reason to make everything use the cloud, a lot of players would welcome it given the demand for housing.

Cross dc pf would be the most ideal but until then I like the idea of the pf content being centralized until then

Out of curiosity, how does it compare to pre- data center travel? At this point, we would expect everything to tilt toward Aether because of the traffic but how does it compare to the Primal queue times and ability to find a PF before data center travel was possible?

Sorry no idea. I never tried DC travel. I been doing it recently for pvp.

I'm on Sarg and i can tell u half the people i see are travelers.... I'm like why don't they stay on their own world lol.... Someone told me a couple months ago it was cause of que times. Well you're right, if they stay on their own damn world the que times would get better lol... They could fix this really easily. Only allow new characters on the deader worlds for awhile (prolly wouldnt' do that though and not really needed), and the only thing u can do when DC traveling is buy stuff from marketboards or go help people in preformed parties (no queing when not on your homeworld).
