I don’t foresee Seraph being removed in the future ever. The commitment of Summon Seraph was very high, involving a new model with multiple new animations to accompany it, so removing it at this point would make Seraph a big net loss, which isn’t an appealing option. I suppose it’s theoretically possible to convert her to another glamour for your normal faerie to salvage those efforts, but even more than that, Seraph is too ‘exciting’ of a tool to remove without disappointing the common player, because the common player does not see a clunky mess of an action, they see an epic healing cooldown.

I think the best possible solution at this point would be to resolve whatever issue prevents a player from having more than one summoned pet at once, and simply have Seraph be summoned without dismissing Eos. It’s a problem that Summoner really wants to see resolved as well, as that would mean they could give Carbuncle actual tools to use without conflicting with the constant Demi-summoning summoner will likely always be doing for the rest of its lifespan.

I would be fine removing Seraph if they replaced it with something equally exciting that fits more into the aesthetics. For me, I find the name Seraph being problematic to begin with because a seraph is an angel or angelic being by definition and not a fae or faelike. They could just add Seraph as an additional summon for Summoner if they didn't want the work going to waste.

As for what to add, maybe for SCH another debuff that helps support the party but being with a more complex animation with a complex condition. Something like reduce enemy defenses (more damage for the party) and having it double as a dot while in play. Then adding that risky behavior only in Dissipation but allowing Dissipation no lock out to any of the skills with other beneficial gains such as higher shields and higher damage to be more synergistic. (Perhaps an additional damaging skill usable in Dissipation as another complex animation skill since we are heading into a 100 cap, though I believe we should have stopped getting entirely new heals at lvl 70 even for the more inexperienced healer and allowed for the older skills to evolve into the newer ones as a sense of progression.)

I hate Seraph because in the same breath that they tried to solve pet AI they moved all pet actions to SCH oGCD and introduced Seraph who can straight up eat those actions both when she's summoned and when she leaves.

In other words, you still have to preplan or risk not getting your shields when want them, but now you also don't have to just worry about mistiming the effects but also them straight up not firing. Old Faerie may have delayed some shit but she always got around to it barring her death. Seraph also locks out some of your actions for some goddamn reason. She's just Rouse (old ACN action that boosted your pet damage and healing) with more, dumber, clunkier steps, and her only appeal is to players that like looking at their game more than playing it. Doesn't even fit into the damn lore.
